December Photo Project Dec 9th

If I had started the first day of the DPP then I would be on an all-time streak of blogging...wait a minute....I am on a streak of daily posts. I have officially blogged more this week than in the past 6 months!
Today was so cold, and I am NOT a fan of cold weather. So, I opted for us to remain indoors today. It was wonderful, because I got to lounge in my oh so comfortable yoga pants and sweatshirt. Lil' bit "helped" me in the kitchen, just as she does everyday......

I can't believe my sweet baby is 10 months old! I have started mulling over the birthday plans and I am excited, but don't want it to come so soon either! My baby girl is growing up too fast. Please stop growing Emma Kate!

Good night dear followers! Until tomorrow.......

December Photo Project Dec 8th

I have to say, I completely forgot about tonight's blog. All I can think about is going to bed, so it will be made short and sweet .....
Little booger LOVES to help me in the kitchen, so my days are filled with her under my feet "helping" me. She gets a kick out of the dishwasher and my tupperware cabinet. Not quite sure why, but whatever keeps her busy while I am busy in the kitchen! :-)
I took pictures today, but I am too tired to actually download them tonight. The photo below is an account of a regular occurrence in the kitchen! This was taken the other day. Here she is, mommy's little helper. I fill the dishwasher and she empties it, only she takes it out before it has a chance to go through the cleaning process! That's my little booger!
Goodnight dear followers! Maybe we can hope for a little more adventure tomorrow? Maybe a few pictures and a much more exciting post? One can only hope!

December Photo Project Dec 7th

Not much to blog here...just wanted to do my daily post for the photo project. Poor baby was IRRITABLE today (not her usual self....thanks to the tooth that is trying to come in.) We have 6 teeth, and I think another is soon approaching.....only because she started grinding her teeth last night. Might I say, it is like nails on a chalk board. So, because she didn't feel good, I only snapped one photo today. I was sitting on the floor looking at the computer and she came over to me and put her little head down on my thigh and started humming. Before I knew it, she was out cold.
Yes, I was still wearing my flannel pjs......and for good a reason! It was freezing outside!!!!!!
 Goodnight!!!!!!!!

December Photo Project (a late start)

I heard about this Project through a facebook friend, and then saw where lots of bloggers that I am following are doing this. I thought it would be a great "boost" for me to post on my blog everyday! I take pictures all of the time, I just have a hard time following up with blogging!
If you are interested in doing this project and starting a few days late like myself, then go over to December Photo Project

This is Emma Kate's first Christmas. We have put up the Christmas tree (even a small one on her dresser) and all the decorations. the town parade was this past weekend and we loaded up and braved the windy weather and Emma Kate slept in the truck until Santa made his grand appearance. but hey, that is the most important part right? So, I am sad to say that we only snapped one photo of her at the parade and my hair was TOO wind blown in the picture to even brave putting it up on my blog for the world to see! I will share with you dear followers the little helper I had while putting up the tree last week........

We have learned to "touch, not pull" OR to sit and look. She is one smart little booger!  Our little Cutie Patootie!!!! I did not want to push our luck, so I have opted out of putting gifts under the tree, especially since we will be at my parents for Christmas.

She just turned 10 months old yesterday and I feel time slipping away from me....... Our precious baby in her 10 month pictures yesterday. .....being sweet and posing now.......
One sweet picture is enough.......now to be a little ham for the camera...................

Well, I have tried to cram the past 5 days into this post, since I am starting on this project late. Emma Kate and I usually chill around the house and snap pictures and play...so welcome to our fun-filled life, a life that some people find boring, however we LOVE our life and are truly BLESSED!

Long Time No Blog

SO, it has been forever and a day since my last post. One might ask (okay, I asked myself), why have a blog? One might answer (I might answer) with, "I have NO idea!" It is not like I have free time on my hands. Between chasing a 9 month baby girl, working 3 businesses from home, and trying to keep house, I have TONS of free time....NOT! I can't believe I am posting this right now, I should be in the bed.

I have so many thoughts on how to make this the best holiday season, since it is Emma Kate's first! What do I cook? What does she wear? When do I start decorating? How should I decorate everything? Wait. Breathe. How should I do the above with everything else on my plate? Any ideas???????

I would love to get my Cutie Patootie business off and running. It is slow coming and I am so not a patient person. lol. Any suggestions on free/inexpensive ways to get a home based business up and running? While you ponder, you can fo to facebook and "like" our page! www.facebook.com/mycutiepatootie

My sister gave me a great idea the other day. I am going to go visit my family this coming week and my sister suggested that we (my mom, sis, and I) bring 3-4 easy, yet healthy recipes to exchange and we use those to make meal plans for each other. If we all brought 4 or so, then we could make one big meal plan for each of us to take back to our homes and use. That way we aren't racking our brain at 4pm trying to throw something together before the husband gets home. Well, I got to thinking, why not do something like that on here? What if we tried to get a "Recipe Monday" or something catchy, like the "follow me back Fridays" and such? We could post easy and healthy recipes on a blog and then the moms could have new recipes to choose from....Just a thought. Tell me what you think!

I think I am off to bed......Good night dear blog. I will not promise to return soon, but I will try really hard. It is on my to do list, right under get more time, and organize your thoughts and goals. Anyone with the key to working blogging into everyday life? I really want to blog, not saying I am good at it by any means. I just want to say, "oh yeah, I blog too. Ever heard of my blog?"

Poem for all those SAHM

Song for a Fifth Child

By Ruth Hulburt Hamilton

Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing, make up the bed,
Sew on a button and butter the bread.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue,
Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due,
Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo.

The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo
Look! Aren't his eyes the most wonderful hue?
Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.

The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
