Long Time No Blog

SO, it has been forever and a day since my last post. One might ask (okay, I asked myself), why have a blog? One might answer (I might answer) with, "I have NO idea!" It is not like I have free time on my hands. Between chasing a 9 month baby girl, working 3 businesses from home, and trying to keep house, I have TONS of free time....NOT! I can't believe I am posting this right now, I should be in the bed.

I have so many thoughts on how to make this the best holiday season, since it is Emma Kate's first! What do I cook? What does she wear? When do I start decorating? How should I decorate everything? Wait. Breathe. How should I do the above with everything else on my plate? Any ideas???????

I would love to get my Cutie Patootie business off and running. It is slow coming and I am so not a patient person. lol. Any suggestions on free/inexpensive ways to get a home based business up and running? While you ponder, you can fo to facebook and "like" our page! www.facebook.com/mycutiepatootie

My sister gave me a great idea the other day. I am going to go visit my family this coming week and my sister suggested that we (my mom, sis, and I) bring 3-4 easy, yet healthy recipes to exchange and we use those to make meal plans for each other. If we all brought 4 or so, then we could make one big meal plan for each of us to take back to our homes and use. That way we aren't racking our brain at 4pm trying to throw something together before the husband gets home. Well, I got to thinking, why not do something like that on here? What if we tried to get a "Recipe Monday" or something catchy, like the "follow me back Fridays" and such? We could post easy and healthy recipes on a blog and then the moms could have new recipes to choose from....Just a thought. Tell me what you think!

I think I am off to bed......Good night dear blog. I will not promise to return soon, but I will try really hard. It is on my to do list, right under get more time, and organize your thoughts and goals. Anyone with the key to working blogging into everyday life? I really want to blog, not saying I am good at it by any means. I just want to say, "oh yeah, I blog too. Ever heard of my blog?"

Poem for all those SAHM

Song for a Fifth Child

By Ruth Hulburt Hamilton

Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing, make up the bed,
Sew on a button and butter the bread.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue,
Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due,
Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo.

The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo
Look! Aren't his eyes the most wonderful hue?
Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.

The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
